March 16, 1875, Magdalena Rohrer, mother of Solomon Rohrer, in the 84th year of her age. She was the only surviving child of Martin Rohrer, who moved into Washington County, about 1740, and who located near Hagerstown, on what is now known as the Brian farm, lying on the Antietam Creek, and near the Cavetown turnpike. Martin Rohrer had seven daughters, all of whom married and gave rise to a large connection, extending among the Hammonds, the Renches, and the Newcomers. Mrs. Rohrer was a member of the Reformed Church, and was known in the neighborhood in which she lived as a most kind and charitable woman. Parents: Martin ROHRER and Christiana MYER.
