Boyle being a committed Church of Ireland family and suddenly Matthew professing
to be "Brethren". But now it all adds up, his bride must have been
Brethren and unwilling to be married in a church she did not approve of. Even
today the Brethren have small meeting rooms but if a marriage is to take place
the local District Registrar performs the ceramony in the meeting room. Perhaps
the religious denomination of the brides family will be revealed if I can find
the census for the family.
