However, Charles Andrews gives his birth in America. He was baptized on 3 May 1752 in the Conestoga Congregation of the Church of the Brethren (Dunker) in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He served as Bishop of the congregation from 1755 to 1762. He resided in Cocalico Township.
