Christian NEUKOMMET was born in 1633 in Eggiwil, Bern, Switzerland. Whitmer listed Christian Neukommet's age as about 40 in 1671, which would have placed his birth about 1631. Christian Neukommet live at Holve, according to Charles Whitmer. According to Richard Davis, Christian lived at Hoers, Pfalz on 17 December 1671, and at Spieshiem, Pfalz on 1 January 1672. Christian Neukommet was an Anabaptist.

A Christian Neukomet was among the elders and ministers of the Church of Jesus Christ in the Upper Palatinate who wrote a letter on 19 October 1699 siding with Hans Reist in the split between Reist and Jakob Ammann. The split was over how strictly to enforce by banning the rules of behavoir. Ammann favored stricter rule enforcement and Reist favored less strict enforcement. I do not know if this is the same Christian as the one who lived at Holve.

A Christian Neukommet (age 38), his wife (age 32) and six children (ages 6 months to 11 years) were refugees in Spressum in 1762, according to Ernst Muller, page 222. The ages fit with this Christian. In this same refugee community was an Anna Niekommet, who had left her husband (he presumably a Niekommet) and a Hans Niekommet (age 27), his wife (age35) and two children. Christian "Frances & Elizabeth" NEUKOMMET was born about 1697. He died in 1771 at the age of 74. This Christian Neukommet might have been the Mennonite Christian living in Buchelhof, Pfalz in 1731. With Christian were listed Hans and Daniel Neukommet. At any rate, Christian emigrated to Philadelphia in 1742. He was taxed in 1753 in Upper Saucon, Pennsylvania. Parents: Hans NEUKOMMET.

Christian "Christly" NEUKOMMET was christened on 23 March 1660 in Zilatt, Eggiwil, Bern, Switzerland. He was born in 1660.

Hans "Mortonhouse" NEUKOMMET was born about 1700. He died before 1755 at the age of 55 in Strasburg, Lancaster, PA. Richard Davis believes, but cannot prove, that Hans Neukommet is the Mennonite John Newcomer who arrived in Pennsylvania on the ship "Mortonhouse" on 23 August 1728.

A Hans Newcomer bought 100 acres in Strasburg Township from Martin and Alice Kendig on 1 May 1729. The next day, he purchased another 100 acres from Martin Kendig (I do not know if this is the same Martin Kendig as the first purchase). I am confident that the Hans who bought this property is not the Hans that came to America on the Mortonhouse in 1728. Rather, the Hans who bought this land is more likely Johannes Newcomer, son of Peter Newcomer--both of whom came to American around 1719. Parents: Ulrich NEUKOMMET.

Peter "1719 ?" NEUKOMMET was born about 1680 in Hinten, Eggiwil, Bern, Switzerland. Richard Davis believes, but cannot prove, that Peter Neukommet is Wolfgang Neukommet, III's son. Furthermore, it is possible that this is the Peter that emigrated to Pennsylvania, but this is not yet proven. Parents: Wolfgang NEUKOMMET III and ms .

Samuel NEUKOMMET was born about 1624 in Eggiwil, Bern, Switzerland. Samuel Neukommet was the witness his brother's (Wolfgang) daughter's (Barbara) christening in 1655. He and his wife, Susanna Habereusbach lived in Signau, Bern, Switzerland. Parents: Wolfgang NEUKOMMET Senior and Ursula SCHABOLD.

Ulrich NEUKOMMET was born in 1670. He was christened on 9 October 1670. An Ulrich Neukommet was a Mennonite minister in Zimmerhof, Germany, living in Grumbach in 1731. Richard Davis belives, but cannot prove, that the two Ulrichs are the same person. A Michael Neukomm was also there at the same time, according to Ernst Muller, page 230. This Ulrich had a son named Michael.

In 1729 an Ulrich Neukommet was living in the Jura region along the Corgemont. He had come from the Eggiwyl, according to Ernst Muller, page 274. In 1738 a Johann Neukommet from Eggiwyl was living in the same community as Ulrich. As both were from Eggiwyl, it seems likely that they are related. This Ulrich had a brother and a son named Johann. Parents: Christian NEUKOMMET and sp Anna HEBYSEN\HOKEYSE.

Children were: Christian NEUKOMMET, Hans "Mortonhouse" NEUKOMMET, Michael NEUKOMMET.

Finally, Davis confuses the Neukommets in his early pages and his later pages. His later book, 1997, claims to have clarified the confusion with European Neukommets.
